| This spectrum was measured using a 45% n-type detector, mounted in a standard 10cm thick cylindrical graded shield. The source was the QCYK reference material evaporated onto a 5 cm diameter filter paper placed, within a polystyrene counting container, at the centre of the detector face. Such a counting position invites true coincidence summing! In this particular spectrum, there appears to be summing with the germanium escaped X-rays.
